My name is Don Faller and I am all but new to the real estate business. For 35 years I have bought, sold and managed various farms and recreational land areas. Over those years I have been lucky enough to have established and owned several hunting clubs for upland, waterfowl and deer hunting. My fascination with agricultural and recreational land started as a small dream to simply become a landowner. In the mid seventies, I was fortunate enough to pursue my love of farming and along with my wife, farmed over a thousand acres and owned a good size cow calf operation. Since then, it has taken us nearly four decades to amass a large contiguous tract of land in central Illinois which we are privileged enough to call our family farm. My wife and I have raised two beautiful children on our “dream farm” and are now enjoying three grandsons. As I started accumulating small tracts of land, I held true to the goal of maintaining the perfect balance of income producing facets, combined with recreational value. This was ultimately the key to successfully maximizing the income of a working agricultural farm, all the while, providing a sustainable recreational asset to the land’s value. My “hands on” experience and knowledge of farm and recreational land management has allowed me to serve as a land consultant to various individuals, family farms and financial institutions across Illinois. When I became a licensed real estate broker, it excited me to be able to share my experiences and knowledge to aid others in achieving their visions and dreams of owning land, no matter how large or small their dreams maybe.
I hope the experience I have gained will help assist you in your real estate endeavors.
