Now as a hunter myself, this area around Lake Patterson is some of the best deer and turkey hunting anywhere!  So if you already own a hunting property nearby and a desire to have a hunting cabin, you should take a look at this place!  If you're looking for a place to hunt and are going to travel and need a place to stay, you could start with the cabin and either buy or lease some nearby hunting property.

Hey....city water, partially furnished, great fishing, boats in place, roads and electric already in place, nearly new roof, furnace and pretty much anything you need, and this place is ready to go!  I can tell you from experience, building a cabin is one thing, however the expense of making it accessible and enjoyable is another. This place makes it simple and enjoyable and your not disturbing the wildlife on your farm.  The 65-acre lake.…do you have any idea of the cost to construct a lake of this magnitude these days? Ten years ago I built a 10-acre lake that cost over $75,000 (that doesn't include a dock, house or utilities.  Lot #4 at Lake Patterson is a bargain!

The owners lived in Effingham, both professional individuals working in Effingham, and on the weekends and on some summer evenings would run down to the lake.  This is not a Lake Sara. This is a quiet, peaceful, low traffic place. The owners have retired, moved to the southern United States and realize they need to sell the property up here.  I have known Steve and Linda for 40 years, and I can tell you they do things the right way.  I know there are many things in the house that have been recently updated. I am certain the boats have been very well maintained.  They have been gone for nearly a year so it's not as colorful as Linda kept it, however the rock sidewalks and the basics are in place to really make this a neat cottage or home!

Property is located at 162 Catfish Drive, Edgewood IL or basically 4 or 5 miles East of LaClede.

Directions: From the South exit at Farina, travel North on Rt 37 to LaClede from the North Exit at Edgewood. Travel South on Rt 37 to LaClede. Once in LaClede there is one road going east across the railroad tracks (970 Rd), travel east through town turning south at the second street which will lead you to the 950 Rd. Turn left or east and stay on this road all the way to Catfish Drive. Enter Catfish Drive and travel 3/10th of a mile and the property is on the right.  From LaClede it is roughly 4 miles to the property.
